India has successfully test-fired the K-4 nuclear-capable missile from the nuclear-powered submarine INS Arighaat.
The trial, conducted on November 28, 2024, in the Bay of Bengal near Visakhapatnam, highlights a significant leap in India's strategic defense. The K-4 missile, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has a strike range of 3,500 kilometers,
enhancing India's ability to launch a retaliatory strike from underwater platforms. This test is the first instance of the K-4 being launched from INS Arighaat, which joined the Indian Navy earlier this year. It represents a critical step in strengthening India's nuclear triad, which ensures nuclear strike capabilities from land, air, and sea
